After finishing a normal workday - I often find myself working late into the night...either writing - or reading.
Tonight - it is the latter - burning the midnight oil - to complete my review feedback of the first four chapters of a new Manning Publications Co. book from a new author (thank you for the very kind invitation, Aleksandar Dragosavljević, [Review Editor]).
There
is so much I enjoy about the craft of writing - and especially when I
can merge that passion with the many nuanced concerns of architecture
and design - and reviewing is just one aspect of the writing and design
process.
A streaming of words from my consciousness, on writing -
and reviewing: The shaping of the communication, the choice of words,
the tempo and cadence - just as important as in the composition of
music, the distilling of ideas, skills, knowledge, innovative
improvements in how something can be accomplished, the act of improving
the communication - wielding the blazing sword of conciseness - cutting
to the heart of the matter - in seeking the best outcome of the written
word: to inspire, to elevate an individual's ability to achieve and
perform.
The title and subject matter of the book are still confidential...
