2012-03-25 Sunday - Sharepoint Tip

How to add the option to a Sharepoint site - so that  you can add hyperlinks to document folders:

  • Go to the settings tab of your document library and click the Advanced Settings link. 
  • Select Yes for Allow management of content types and click OK.
  • Next, associate the content type you wish to use within the library “Link to Document” by going back to the Library Settings page and click the Add from existing site content types.
  • Choose the Link to a Document selection from the List Box and click Add
